Private Estate Ceremony - Kaneohe, Oahu

All photographs by L'Amour Photography, www.lmprophoto.com

We rented a private estate in Kaneohe, on the east side of Oahu, Hawaii for a week. It had three structures, and we were able to host 21 people in comfort (luxurious comfort for some!) We used the main house for the ceremony, which was followed by pictures at Kailua Beach, and then returned to the house for dinner.

It was important to us to have everyone be a part of our ceremony. We had everyone walk down the aisle, had both parents escort each of us, and had each child a part of the wedding ceremony. We loved how intimate it was, and I was the only one not barefoot (I had carted an extra pair of shoes all the way to Hawaii, after all!)

I just love the "groom's first look" pictures, and it was so fun to see this one of my DH, because I was so nervous I don't remember how he looked at that second! This one of me on the right is my most composed moment the whole ceremony. Otherwise, I was grinning like a fool, or crying like a baby (or atleast on the verge).

Kahu Bruce was our officiant, and he conducted a ceremony that made us very happy. It was traditional Hawaiian, and included a presentation of leis to our parents, a lei exchange with each other, and beautiful chanting.

Last, but certainly not least......
DH's ring holder made it to Hawaii in one piece, and it was used in our ceremony - a perfect touch to our Hawaiian wedding!
