Time to Eat!

This is where most of my DIY efforts went to, and I was really happy with how it all turned out!

We didn't have a "signature drink", but no one went thirsty! My mom was our master mixologist all week, making mai tais, margaritas, etc. We decided we'd like pina coladas for our wedding, the day before our wedding! We also served two different kinds of Hawaii's Own juice from the glass dispensers, and had Waialua sodas with paper straws for the kiddos!

We hired Chef Jill Dwornik, of Oahu Personal Chefs, to cook for our family. We wanted to maintain the intimate feeling of our day, and didn't want waiters, sous chefs, etc. bustling around.

Our menu included stuffed mushrooms, and shrimp with curry sauce, for appetizers, the gorgeous salad pictured below, stuffed chicken with red potatoes and asparagus, and....The.Best.Cheesecake.EVER. for dessert. Unfortunately, there are not pictures because we literally started to devour it before the photographer even knew it was out. So sad. Chef Jill seriously made our Wedding Dinner dreams come true; it was all so good!

Keeping the Kids Busy....

Picture
We covered a coffee table with thick natural-colored wrapping paper from Target, and gave the kids crayons to color on it with. Also, I created custom word-finds, crossword puzzles, coloring pages, and mazes - all beach- or Hawaii-themed - and they were busy for hours!
